For those of you who know me well... You know that I don't take many pictures. Yes, I'm the person who traveled around Europe for 10 weeks (Italy, Austria, Germany and France) and came back with at most 50 pictures. If that wasn't crazy enough, here is the approximate breakdown of pictures taken by location:Italy = 20 (all taken the first couple days)
Austria = 0
Germany = 0
France = 40 (30 of which were taken at Disneyland Resort Paris)
So yeah... Thankfully I had a few friends who were willing to share their photos with me. Now, I'm not saying that not taking pictures is bad. In fact... I think I would have missed out on a lot if I just saw the sites through a camera lens. But taking a few more pictures would not have killed me or my experience.
You must be wondering where I'm going with this. So what if I don't take many pictures. Well... where I'm going has to do with this blog. (1) Several of the items on my list involve traveling. (2) Number 62 on my list calls for me to make myself a scrapbook. To accomplish all of these tasks I think I will want/need to take some pictures and to take pictures one needs a working camera. So... Last night I drove myself over to Best Buy and purchased a new digital camera. My choice to replace my old brick of a phone (Kodak EasyShare from 2003) was the Canon PowerShot SD1400. Not only did this phone have good reviews online (I mean, from what I've read you can't really go wrong with a basic Canon), but my friend Erin (who is a world traveler by the way) has and loves this camera.
So there you go... I have a new camera. And honestly, you should all be pretty excited just thinking about the awesome pictures that will be posted on this blog... courtesy of my new camera of course :)
Canons are the best! My Canon Powershot is going on six years now and still works.
