It's a funny thing, not having a football team at college, but SPU didn't have a football team, and I always felt like I was missing out on something.
Last Saturday was the University of Washington homecoming game, and Tristan's boss, who is a University of Washington alumni, offered to let us have his tickets to the game. Now when I say Tristan's boss is a UW alum, I mean that he was in a frat, started his own business right out of school, has season tickets on the 50 yard line 22 rows up alumni. Yeah, great seats.
I didn't think I was going to get into the game that much--I thought maybe I was going to be one of those quiet football game watchers, but no, I was standing up, screaming, cheering, yelling, everything short of chest bumping my neighbor participating. I had a great time. The game was great--tied, went into over-time, we won by one point--awesome.
I really enjoyed my first college football game experience. Oh, and GO! HUSKIES! GO! HUSKIES! GO! HUSKIES!
