Yet another really, really, really late post. Back in April you all voted on what each of us (the Four) would attempt to cross off our lists in May. And my chosen task was #50. learn how to pick locks.
On a side note... I did accomplish another task in May... learning to accurately shoot a gun. But that is besides the point.
Ok... I was not a complete failure on the lock picking front back in May. I did order a "lock picking kit". The only problem was I didn't have a lock to practice on. I had thought about using one of the doors to my old apartment... but then I remembered that my lease had a section about NOT ATTEMPTING TO BREAK IN. So yeah. But now I have a lock to practice on (purchased last month at RE Store in Ballard - check it out http://www.re-store.org/). So I will let you know how it goes.

Wow your lease actually had a stipulation that said that? Hopefully ours never did... I don't know how many times I pried off the bathroom window screen and hurled myself through. Good luck!
