This afternoon I drove down to Kent to pick up some tickets. Tickets for a sporting event. A sport that brings to mind ice, missing teeth and of course... The Mighty Ducks. That's right my friends... I'm going to my first hockey game! While I'm not going to see the Ducks... I am going down to Kent this Friday night to cheer on the Seattle Thunderbirds!I'm really excited... but honestly a little nervous. I mean... I've never been to a hockey game and I don't really know what to expect. All I have been told is that it will be a little on the cold side (so bring a jacket and dress in layers), wear closed toed shoes and just have fun. Luckily I'm going with two people who love hockey. I hope they are ready to answer a lot of questions.
Now I know you may be thinking... isn't Friday October 1st? Yes it is. But... I figured since I actually have the tickets in my possession as I type this... and it is still September... that you would all understand and let my cross this off my list for September. Besides... I did drive ALL THE WAY DOWN TO KENT just to pick up the tickets from the box office. Thank you.
P.S. I will make sure someone brings a camera to capture all the fun! But in the meantime... here are a couple pictures of what we will be seeing.
Excellent! I went to a hockey game one time with a co-worker's tickets and he had them really close to the rink... it was awesome! Hockey players were slamming into the walls all night right in front of us - so intense. And yeah, it definitely gets cold.
