My cousin told me yesterday about a show on MTV called The Buried Life. The series focuses on four friends (Duncan, Ben, Dave, and Jonnie) as they travel across North America in a purple transit bus they named "Penelope" to complete a list of "100 things to do before you die." For every item they try to complete on their list, they help a stranger achieve one of their dreams and encourage others to go after their own lists. Everywhere they go they ask the question: "What do you want to do before you die?".
I watched an episode yesterday, and although it feels very MTV-esque in its humor and casting, it was entertaining to watch, and I especially like the parts where they help strangers accomplish a list item - what a great way to pay it forward! Oh, and in the episode I watched, one of the guys asked out Taylor Swift at the CMAs and she called him later and said yes! Who knows if they ever really did go out on a date (probably not), but he did put himself out there, and it worked!
Anyways, I thought I would share this since it's very fitting to this blog. If you have a few extra minutes some day, you should check it out. Maybe you will get inspired too.
